Yes, there are no rockets or stammering scientists to be found here. It’s pure Statham action time, as he plays the titular thief, a man who lives by a strict code: never steal from anyone that can’t afford it, and never hurt anyone that doesn’t deserve it.

But the events of his latest job, carried out with Melander’s (Michael Chiklis) gang, cause him to add one more rule – if you get double-crossed and left for dead, deliver bloody revenge. So the tough guy gets tougher, heads to Florida’s Palm Beach and connects with an unlikely partner in Leslie (Lopez), an insider short on cash but big on smarts, ambition and looks.
