Identity Thief Trailer Is Here
Jason Bateman hunts 'Bilbo'

Yesterday, when the first posters for the new Jason Bateman / Melissa McCarthy comedy Identity Thief arrived (you can see them in the gallery below), we were promised the trailer tomorrow. Well, tomorrow is today (or the next day in certain time zones because... Brain ache!) and the footage is online above.

Identity Thief is the story of Diana (McCarthy) who loves nothing more than to live it up, shop ‘til she drops and charge everything to the card. Unfortunately for Sandy Bigelow Patterson (Bateman) it’s his card. And he lives in Denver.

And it’s not only his credit Diana’s sucking dry – she’s stolen his entire identity. Sandy discovers what the con artist has done and has just one week to hunt her down. But then he has to get her back to Denver to sort everything out, and Diana’s not exactly willing to comply…

With Horrible Bosses director Seth Gordon behind the camera and Hangover co-writer Craig Mazin providing the script, this looks like it could be a fun little two-hander for Bateman and McCarthy, even if the trailer seems to indicate it leans a bit too much on slapstick.

We’ll see if that's a problem when the movie arrives on March 1 next year.
