New Jack Ryan Pics Arrive
Meet Kenneth Branagh's villain

Although Jack Ryan has only recently started shooting, Paramount decided to get the jump on any paparazzi shots and punch out a couple of official stills featuring Chris Pine and Kevin Costner as, respectively, the iconic CIA analyst (in his pre-Agency days) and his mentor. Now via The Hollywood Reporter’s Russian edition, a few set pics have arrived online, which give a look at director Kenneth Branagh, who is also playing the movie’s villain.

Ryan’s plot ticks back the clock to the days when former Marine Ryan was a Moscow-based financial analyst working for a Russian billionaire (Branagh). His boss has him framed for a terrorist plot, and our hero must go on the run to prove his innocence and stop the dastardly financial guru.

Keira Knightley’s on board to play Cathy Ryan and Steven Zaillian, David Koepp, Anthony Peckham and Adam Cozad are just a few of the writers who have faced the task of bringing Tom Clancy’s character back to basics.

Jack Ryan will be out on Christmas Day 2013 in the States and, we assume, not long after that over here. Hit up the Reporter’s site for more pics. And an article, assuming you read Russian.
