New Cloud Atlas Trailer Hits The Web
UPDATE: Now with extra added poster

UPDATE: Almost as if they've been reading Empire's ensemble movie poster guide, the Cloud Atlas marketing team have released a new poster that stands proud as a new member of the "Just Give 'Em The Names" category.

Take a look at it below, then be sure to have a gander at our What The Heck Is Cloud Atlas? feature thisaway.

A new trailer has arrived for Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis' astonishing-looking adaptation of Cloud Atlas, and there's good news for the time poor: it's only two minutes long.

Unlike that extended first-look trailer we soaked up back in July, this one doesn't have the onerous task of selling the movie's six-threaded narrative in its entirety. Instead, it focuses on the overarching themes that run through the historical, contemporary and sci-fi chapters: reincarnation, humanity's commonality, and how to break bad like Hugh Grant.

The adaptation of David Mitchell's novel by Lana and Andy Wachowski and co-director Tykwer looks like it'll be a feast for eyes. "It's a strange thing to describe", explains cast member Ben Whishaw, "but when I read it I thought, 'If they pull this off it could be really unique,' particularly because the actors keep popping up in different stories."

Cloud Atlas gets a UK release on February 22.
