Sightseers Trailer Wanders In
The holiday from hell

29 August 2012  |  Written by James White

Ever been on a disappointing camping holiday? Chances are, once you’ve seen the trailer for Kill List director Ben Wheatley’s Sightseers, you might think twice about complaining that the weather was a bit dodgy or the tent leaked. Unless, that is, your trip was full of as much killing and carnage as this one… Check out the trailer below.

You already know we’re big fans of Wheatley, and this one looks every bit as memorable as his last outing. Coming from the brains of Alice Lowe and Steve Oram, who adapted their short along with Amy Jump, it’s the tale of Chris (Oram) and Tina (Lowe), a seemingly loving couple who go on a caravan holiday to Yorkshire.

All appears to be going okay for the slightly odd pair, but the trouble begins when Chris murders a man for complaining about Tina leaving her dog’s poo for someone to step in. And things just spiral from there…

It played well at Cannes, and comes recommended by one Edgar Wright, who acts as executive producer. The UK gets to see the film on November 30, and though it’ll screen at the Toronto Film Festival next month and has been bought by IFC films, there’s no US date set yet.
