Kat Dennings Back For More Thor
She'll grace The Dark World

22 August 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Deadline

Kat Dennings Back For More Thor

Good news from Asgard! Or at least Midgard, the world we prefer to call Earth. If you enjoyed Kat Dennings’ comic timing and liberal stealing of scenes in Thor, you’ll be glad to hear that she’s definitely back on for Thor: The Dark World.

Deadline reports that not only will Denning's Darcy Lewis return to interact with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and Chris Hemsworth’s chiselled hero, but also she’ll get more to do this time around than simply crack wise and react to strange goings-on. The exact nature of her storyline is strictly under wraps, but we’re frankly just glad to see her return.

Thor: The Dark World is filming right now at Shepperton Studios under the direction of Alan Taylor. Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba and some bloke a few people seem to like called Hiddleston are all back for the sequel. Zachary Levi is stepping into the role of Fandral and Christopher Eccleston will be the villainous Malekith.

We can expect the movie on November 8, 2013. Dennings, meanwhile, has been busy shooting US sitcom Two Broke Girls.

Good stuff
Nice to see the original cast returning for this anticipated sequel. Thor is a great character that has finally got the screen recognition deserved. Hopefully it will be just as good without Kenneth in the directors chair! More

Кумиры нынешнего поколения
Id welcome Kat back over Portman. Portman was a complete blank and offered nothing while delivering the worst acting of her career. More

RE:
I rather preferred her to Portman in Thor, as she seemed to have something resembling a character. Portman was essentially a bland cipher for Thor and Skarsgaard and little more. More

RE:
L: BurtonWildheart for the love of god nnnnooooo...not her , she nearly ruined Thor for me with her uselessness!! sp; Bit harsh. I'd suggest that the character served little plot function but Dennings did provide some fun comic relief in a film that could easily have taken itself far too seriously. I'd also argue that Dennings is more at home in this sort of film than Natalie Portman, whose excursions into populism don't always come off. She was OK in Thor but didn't really stand out a More
