New Machete Kills Poster
Lady Gaga is La Chameleon

27 July 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Robert Rodriguez/Twitter

With Machete Kills still shooting, Robert Rodriguez, has, as usual, turned himself into a one-man, early marketing system, tweeting comments and pictures from the movie. His latest offering is a first look at a previously unannounced cast members, singer Lady Gaga’s character La Chameleon, which you can see below.

In typically effusive style, Rodriguez writes:

While we don’t yet know how she factors into the main plot, it appears Gaga will be sultry, dangerous and under serious threat of PETA chucking a bucket of red paint over her, given her choice of outfit.

Machete Kills finds Danny Trejo’s titular troublemaker battling his way through Mexico to take down an arms dealer who is making serious threats. The cast includes Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Alexa Vega, Charlie Sheen, Vanessa Hudgens, Cuba Gooding Jr, William Sadler and Demian Bichir. It should explode on to our screens some time next year.

Great... Love it... Now where's Sin City 2?
Great... Love it... Now where's Sin City 2? Awesome! Now make Sin City 2! Like a child stuck with that puzzle they pretend to understand - you are stalling! More

La Chameleon? That's what David Bowie was called in the 70s and it used to drive him mad (Gaga had Ziggy Stardust lightning bolts on her face in the Poker Face video, the comparisons grow stronger and she is encouraging them.) More

RE: New Machete Kills Image
Its getting a bit Ocean's 12, isn't it? The first was ok but the thought of having to watch Charlie Sheen and Lady Gaga in the same thing is making do a bit of sick in my mouth. And not the good kind. More

There are some parts of that cast list that are exciting, but others, such as Lady Gaga and Michelle Rodriguez just make me not want to watch this film. More

RE: Where's the party?
Quite a conservative look for Gaga. More

Where's the party?
I bet the film will be crap but can you imagine the wrap party with that lot. If you know Robert Rodriguez well can you try and get me an invite? More

Meh, No thanks...
Where the fuck is Sin City 2 anyway...That is still his best work...He's still in 'Planet Terror' mode...Tarantino's since moved on from this Grindhouse nonsense...Rodriguez is a very talented but frustrating director. More
