Thomas Jane Finds Bad Planet
Want to help Kickstart a video game?

22 July 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: RAW Studios

You may already have seen the dark, stylish and distinctly unofficial Punisher short that actor Thomas Jane put together through his indie media company RAW Studios. But that’s not all the company does. Jane, along with RAW partner / comics legend Tim Bradstreet, has been putting together graphic novels, movies and other good stuff for a while now. And they’re looking for a little assistance for their latest project, a video game based on one of their titles, Bad Planet. Check out the Kickstarter video below.

Bad Planet features a plague of intergalactic Death Spiders looking to take out the Earth, and the Convict, a lone alien warrior who is fighting to save us all from insectoid death. Players will get the chance to control the Convict as he wades into the battle, with various combat modes and an episodic structure. Because, let's be honest here, who doesn't yearn to lay the smack down on some deadly alien spiders?

RAW is after $575,000 to bring the game to life via Red Fly Studio, which will handle the actual nuts and bolts of the title.

Look for our chat with Jane himself about the Punisher short and his Comic-Con 2012 experience in an upcoming issue.

RE:
So he doesn't have that to spare himself? This is what I dislike about Kickstarter, when celebrities and established companies use it to fund projects because they don't wanna pay for it themselves. More
