Empire's Special Gremlins Podcast
Zach Galligan on Gremlins 3 and more...

13 July 2012  |  Written by Ali Plumb  |  Source: Exclusive

The effortlessly charming Zach Galligan - also known by his Twitter handle, @zwgman - stopped by the Empire Podbooth recently, and here below is the Gremlins-filled result.

Concentrating mainly on his work with Joe Dante, Mogwai and Gizmo, Mr. Galligan explains just how complicated it is to work with so many wires down your top, as well as his temporary feeling of 'Gremlins fatigue'.

Then there's the intriguing bit of news about a potential Gremlins 3 project, with Warner Bros. calling him in to talk about some ideas - some ideas that involve the furry fellows making their way to good ol' London town.

"I know you're going to think this is shameless pandering, but I've got a six page treatment about Gremlins in London," Galligan explains at around the 42nd minute.

"I thought that would be a great mix, the Gremlins running into the upper class strata of Britain. It's very obsessed with control, order and etiquette and so what's the opposite of all that stiff upper lip? The possibilities are pretty endless."

So if you call yourself a Gremlins, WaxworkHatchet or just a regular Zach Galligan fan, you won't want to miss this one...

Just so you know, Zach's latest project, Hatchet III, is set for a 2013 release date.
