Vin Diesel Offers New Riddick Peek
And he's seen a rough cut of the film

28 June 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Facebook

The new outing for tough-as-old-boots space antihero Riddick might still just simply be called, er, Riddick, but that isn’t stopping the film’s self appointed PR guru, AKA star Vin Diesel, from keeping up the flow of pictures. With director David Twohy now deep into editing the film, Diesel has sent along not just a new image, but also an early reaction to the first cut.

“Last night I was invited, by the director, to the editing room... to see an early first cut of the new Riddick... WOW!!!” he writes, though if we’re honest, we doubt he was going to take to Facebook to let us know it’s sort of, you know, not bad. But there’s more! “P.S. I was so affected/excited... I couldn't sleep. GRRRR!!!” Thanks for that, Vin.

You can take a look at the new pic below.

The film finds the follically-challenged fiend left for dead on a barren planet. His only real chance to is call on some mercenaries to help out – no easy feat when everyone is after the bounty on his head. Can he survive with a lethal storm coming in and rescue his home planet, which is inevitably in need of saving? We’ll find out next year when, despite no confirmed release date, the movie is expected to hit cinemas.

Let's wait and see!
Well, Pitch Black is a great little film and Chronicles of Riddick is a pretty patchy, unoriginal but entertaining affair. Hopefully this next installment goes back to the basics of the original and has a decent script and characters! More
