While I dont think Ryan is the worst choice and im a fan of alot of his work, even Greenlantern! :) BUT! Although I have a spooky feeling that this remake of Highlander will be naff, what really made the original so great - for me anyway - was the Queen soundtrack. They have to get the soundtrack right, I nominate Muse!!. Get rid of 'It's a Kind of Magic' but please please keep 'Princes of the Universe', write some new songs but leave Freddie (Mercury) to sing 'Who Wants to LIVe Forever'. More

He gets a lot of stick for Green Lantern, but every bad review I read had nothing but good things to say about him. All the criticism was aimed at the script, effects and Blake Lively. I'm fan of the original and the news of a remake made me shudder but i've always thought if done right it would be great to have an updated version because some scenes are quite dated but the news of Reynold's playing Macleod has made me shudder once again. I don't mind him but he's wrong for this part, they should have casted an unknown to play the part and have someone like Tom Hardy playing The Kurgan. I'll wait for the trailer because i could be wrong but i remain unconvinced by the casting More

Well this decision does seem to be causing a bit of a stir and I can see why. Reynolds isn't a terrible actor but the problem here is his previous films haven't been the best scripts and certainly haven't been huge success'. There are plenty of very good English actors out there that would suit the part so why a Yank? I've always been a fan of the original but I'm not going to write this off and start slating it before I at least see a trailer. You never know, Reynolds could surprise us! More
