Latest Frankenweenie Trailer Online
More weird science from Tim Burton

26 June 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Apple

Latest Frankenweenie Trailer Online

The first promo for Tim Burton’s stop-motion remake of his own 1984 short Frankenweenie promised plenty of dark (but still family-friendly) humour. Now the latest trailer, online over at Apple, keeps that promise alive. Though not in an attaching-electrodes-to-body-parts sort of way…

With Burton probably still smarting from the box office disappointment of Dark Shadows, he’ll be pinning his hopes on what looks to be a real return to his roots, a gothic-meets-suburbia tale of young Victor Frankenstein (Charlie Tahan) and his beloved, suddenly-deceased pet pooch, Sparky. Inspired by a biology class, Victor decides to use all of his scientific know-how to dabble in resurrection. He brings Sparky back, but there are consequences and chaos along with him.

Featuring a plethora of Burton veterans (Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, and Christopher Lee) plus a few new arrivals, Frankenweenie has our fingers crossed for a ‘toon treat when the movie roles around on October 17.
