New Clip From The Watch Online
Vince Vaughn preps for an alien invasion

22 June 2012  |  Written by Phil de Semlyen  |  Source: Yahoo! Movies

If the next wave of extra-terrestrial baddies are heading Earth-wards in The Watch, our first line of defence isn't shaping up all that convincingly. The movie's self-annointed crew of suburban vigilantes is shown here on the kind of hapless stake-out that would make Taggart and Rosewood feel much better about themselves.

Here it's not bananas in the tailpipe that's the problem but Vince Vaughn's leaky bladder. Good to get the pee out the way early we're thinking, because some serious extra-terrestrial violence looks likely to follow.

The Watch
- previously Neighborhood Watch - comprises Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Richard Ayoade and Jonah Hill: a kind of comedy Avengers. They may not actually intimidate the aliens, but they'll be really good at avoiding catching stuff they get thrown at them.

Akiva Schaffer directs with Superbad and Pineapple Express pair Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg on script duties, so expect at least someone to get very stoned at some point.

Catch the teaser trailer here. If you're in the mood for sweariness and exploding cows, click here for the full-length red band version. The Watch is out in the UK on August 29, while our good pals in the US can see it a month earlier on July 27.
