Charlie Sheen Will Be The President
In Machete Kills, at least

22 June 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Robert Rodriguez (Via Collider)

His father is still considered among the best – if not the best – fictional US Presidents ever seen, which we guess in a weird, meta sense is why Charlie Sheen has been cast as the leader of the free world. The person responsible for this irresponsible act? Robert Rodriguez, who has added Sheen to Machete Kills.

Hitting Twitter to break the news (which was then picked up by Collider), Rodriguez wrote, “I just cast Charlie Sheen in Machete Kills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon…” along with a picture of himself with Sheen.

Which just goes to show that there's no such thing as unemployable in Hollywood if you're sufficiently high-profile (see also: Mel Gibson, who is among the Machete sequel’s cast). We don’t yet know what Sheen will be getting up to as El Prez, but you’ve got to figure Rodriguez has something batshit insane in mind, especially given what tends to happen to people who come into contact with Machete.

With Danny Trejo leading off a cast that includes Sheen, Gibson, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba and Tom Savini, Machete Kills is shooting right now and will hack its way on to our screens next year.

Rodriguez sold out on MACHETE!
The opening was great with the jump cuts and bad quality film stock then it went all clean and polished...least black dynamite had the balls to go all the way...if you want to grow some kahunas...get guttenberg, danson and sellick as a trio of gay assassins trying to lust after machete with a sadistic tone of competing to execute him....plus get burt reynolds in it as cheech marin's baptist with a bazooka brother More

"You Lookin' For Trouble?...You Came To The RIght Place"
Wow, Robert Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios really lives up to its moniker with Charlie Sheen AND Mel Gibson in the cast. (He also had wild child Lindsay Lohan in the first one). Who's next? Jimmy Carr??? More
