New Rise Of The Guardians Posters Land
DreamWorks puts bunny back in the box

14 June 2012  |  Written by Phil de Semlyen  |  Source: Apple Trailers

DreamWorks Animations' Rise Of The Guardians - not to be confused with Guardians Of Ga'Hoole, Guardians Of The Galaxy, the Guardian Angels or The Guardian, which is a newspaper - assembles all of our favouritest fairy tale characters into a family-friend posse of benevolent, well, guardians. Their job, as the trailer pointed out, is to protect all the children of the world, albeit with the slightly sinister caveat "as long as they believe in them".

These new character banners for the film offer the perfect chance to play today's game of 'Spot The Bad Guy'.

If you said "the rabbit", go to the back of the class. Everyone else will have taken a cue from the evil black-and-white colour scheme and hell stallions to note the malignant presence of villain-of-the-piece, Pitch.

Ranged against him are North (Santa Claus), Bunnymund (the Easter Bunny), Sandy (the Sandman), Toothy (the Tooth Fairy) and newest recruit Jack Frost (Jack Frost). We're assuming that Old Father Time was called up for The Expendables sequel instead. The bogeyman, Pitch - not, alas, voiced by Dolph Lundgren - represents Jude Law's first voice part.

Ranged against him are the legendary larynxes of Alec Baldwin, Chris Pine, Isla Fisher and Hugh Jackman. Find out who prevails when Rise Of The Guardians hits UK cinemas on November 30.

RE: This looks like a lot of fun
Nothing cheap about this at all! The character designs look great. For such familiar childhood creations, they're clearly not afraid to give them a hard edge and be creative with how they should look in general. The scenes are full of strong colour tones and are beautifully designed. The premise of the story looks great and a lot of fun. If you can find elements of predictability, so what! It's kids a movie and with characters like Santa it would be a mistake to completely break the mould. More

This looks like a lot of fun
I was surprised by this, as I was by How To Train Your Dragon, it really looks good. This could be a lot of fun. More

Looks awesome!
I'm actually more excited about this than Pixar's Brave. An animated Avengers-style team-up Versus a coming-of-age tale about a ginger girl? I'm more excited about Rise of the Guardians. More
