New Skyfall Video Blog Online
Costumes are a-dressed (sorry)

While the current Bond films have been about making the character and his franchise grittier, dirtier and slightly less stylised, it’s impossible not toacknowledge that Ian Fleming’s secret agent is a snappy dresser. Even when he’s chasing bad guys, jumping out of cars or involved in scraps, he looks good doing it. The latest video blog from the team behind Skyfall takes a look at the work of costume designer Jany Temime, a veteran of the Harry Potter films who is tackling her first Bond.

It’s perhaps not very surprising that, despite the presence of several beautiful women in the cast, including Naomie Harris and Bérénice Marlohe, the focus is on Daniel Craig as Bond himself. So Temime talks up the challenges of maintaining his iconic silhouette and finding suits tailored to fit Craig no matter what he’s up to on screen.

As usual with these blogs, there are little snippets of scenes being shot interspersed between the talking head interviews, so you can get more of a hint about what Bond has to deal with this time.

With Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw and Ola Rapace among the cast and Sam Mendes calling the shots, Skyfall will be out on October 26.
