Empire Launches US iPad Edition
The British are coming!

31 May 2012  |  Written by Helen O'Hara

Empire: The U.S. Edition

Empire is coming to America! Today sees the launch of the US edition of the Empire iPad magazine for your reading pleasure, which will be available in Apple's iTunes store later today. Yes, it's another British invasion*.

The US iPad edition of Empire will follow the same blueprint as the existing UK version, so expect a fully interactive app with embedded film trailers alongside in-depth behind-the-scenes features, access-all-area reports, unrivalled access to A-list stars and genuine worldwide exclusives in every edition. The content will be tailored to the US to reflect different release dates and the funny way you Yanks spell "colour".

Empire will launch with the Dark Knight Rises edition, which prompted director Christopher Nolan to send us this message. "Empire Magazine has always set an extremely high standard in giving moviegoers an in-depth look behind the scenes of their favourite films. As a long time Empire reader, I am proud that they have chosen 'The Dark Knight Rises' to spearhead their launch in the U.S."

Get more details about the launch here.

*In a friendly, Beatles sort of way, rather than a pesky redcoats style.

Hooray! Now can you please sort out a deal with Australian Empire so I can get it through the iTunes Australia store? I'm tired of running two iTunes accounts just so I can read Empire on my iPad while traveling. More
