Dear Mr The Batman… We’re really not sure you should be standing under all that fire in the new poster for The Dark Knight Rises. Not unless you want the movie to be renamed The Dark Knight Roasts. Still, with the posters proclaiming “The Legend Ends” maybe it’s apt. Presumably Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne knows what he’s doing, even if it does violate several health and safety codes and would give Alfred heart palpitations. Check out the new poster below.
With superhero summer in full swing and The Avengers gobbling up box office records, The Dark Knight Rises has some serious competition this year. But this is Christopher Nolan and his Bat-team… If you can’t have faith in the people who made The Dark Knight, who can you have faith in?
Riffing on both the fire imagery from a couple of the Dark Knight posters, the gaping wound theme of Rises and the thematic idea of Bane’s forces as the fire rising, this latest pic doesn’t exactly depart from what we’ve seen before, but it’s striking and dramatic, just as we’ve come to expect from the movie.
With Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard and Juno Temple among the cast, The Dark Knight Rises will be here on July 20. You can watch the latest trailer below.
Yeah this isn't very good at all. It's just two posters slightly edited and C&P'd on top of each other. This can't be an official poster, especially since the RISE posters released this week were really good. More
rubbish poster
if indeed it IS an official one!
it's just two images already used in the trilogy, and BADLY slapped together like if a five year old had done it! More
Not a great poster, but I couldn't care less as long as the film delivers.
The teaser ones have always been more impressive anyway, both for this & The Dark Knight. More

A note of caution for those wanting to remain spoiler free - don't read the comments as they appear in the article link above. Inviso-text and certain colours might hide text on these message boards, but it all shows up clearly underneath the article. Luckily I didn't read far enough to get spoiled, but it could happen if you're not wary enough.
ol.
oops.

Cheersdited to add a theory as to why the poster is so reminiscent of past artwork and somehow a bit 'off'dit to anybody confused by the invisitext from 'Eyes: my theory did not actually refer to Batman's pants... More
Shite poster, surely a fake.... are your sources reliable on this one Empire More
