Ready For The Starving Games?
Yes, the Vampires Suck team is back

Ready For The Starving Games?

Writer-directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer have yet to find a genre or hit movie they didn’t want to spoof. In their time, they have either contributed to or created the Scary Movie films, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet The Spartans, Disaster Movie and Vampires Suck. While many had hoped that they would just give up and go and do charity work in recompense, they’ve now set their sights on The Hunger Games with The Starving Games. Hilarious!

We realise that the pair have their fans (though a pill is being developed to treat that) and they shoot moderately low budgets with solid box office returns. But do we really need another kitchen-sink spoof full of a ragtag collection of tired pop culture references and OTT acting? The answer, apparently, is yes.

The Starving Games, the rights to which will be on sale at Cannes, will use the Suzanne Collins spoof as the skeleton for a parody of The Avengers (natch), Sherlock Holmes, the final Harry Potter and, presumably, whatever else is popular this week.

Friedberg and Seltzer are currently at work on The Biggest Movie Of All Time 3D, which is “the first parody film to be shot in 3D.” Hooray?

RE: Ready For The Starving Games?
I suppose you can take solace in the fact that no major studio will pony up the cash for this deeply cynical venture. I'm assuming that's the case if Friedberg and Seltzer are trying to raise the cash at Cannes. More

RE: Ready For The Starving Games?
Could someone please make a documentary of these two making this abomination. I for one would love to see if these guys are merely taking money from retards (the people who pay to watch this shit) or if they actually think their ideas are funny. Get them in for a podcast empire! More

The crimes that Freidberg and Seltzer have committed against film are parallel to the crimes Bin Laden committed against humanity. This is the next Axis of Evil I want to see justifiably assassinated... More

The Starving Games? Yeah, starved of ideas.
Is there any beginning to their talent? 2 seconds after a movie is a hit, these clowns are vomiting out some crap rip-off. Anyone writing here on these forums could do that. How do these guys have a career? They must have friends in high places or just high friends who greenlight this shit. More
