New Brave Character Posters Online
Meet Pixar's Merida and her family

02 April 2012  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: EW

Och aye, lads and lassies, 'tis a brave new set of posters we have fer ye tudday. Ahem. That is to say, there are four new character posters from Pixar's upcoming Brave for your viewing pleasure, and they once again showcase how heartstoppingly gorgeous this film is going to look.

As you are no doubt aware, the film tells the story of Princess Merida (Kelly Macdonald), who gets into serious trouble when she defies the wishes of her mother, Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson) and causes all sorts of problems for everyone, including her father, King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and the country's chief Lords*, Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane).

Brave hits our screens on August 17, almost two months after its US debut, which can only mean that Pixar hates us and wants us to suffer. WHAT HAVE WE EVER DONE TO YOU, YOU HEARTLESS GENIUSES?! Ah, we can't stay mad at you. Just make sure it gets here asap.

For much more on Brave from director Mark Andrews, head on over to EW.

*Lairds, surely?

What do you think of Brave?
Can't hardly wait. Waiting until August may literally kill me.
Loving how it looks so far, but I need to know more.
Eh. Cars 3, that's what I want to see!
I hope Lord MacGuffin owns some object that turns out to drive the plot in a Hitchcock homage.
A princess? A girl? What is this, Disney?
Oh shush, and relish Pixar's first female protagonist.
