Hotel Transylvania Trailer Creeps In
Dracula has a guest pest problem

27 March 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Yahoo UK

A couple of weeks ago, the first teaser trailer for animated Adam Sandler comedy Hotel Transylvania snuck out into the world, dubbed into Russian. Well, now the footage has arrived over at Yahoo UK in English and you can take a look below.

As the title suggests, Hotel Transylvania sees Sandler and friends having some fun with horror archetypes. Dracula (Sandler himself) runs a secluded castle rest spot where his fellow monsters can take a break from scaring – or, more accurately, being bothered by – humans.

Among the guests are werewolf Wayne (Steve Buscemi) and wife Wanda (Molly Shannon), Frank (Kevin James), invisible man Griffin (David Spade) and Murray the Mummy (Cee-Lo Green). Then there’s Drac’s daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez), who is turning 118 with a birthday party thrown by her doting dad.

Into their peaceful holiday time crashes clueless backpacker Jonathan (Andy Samberg), who immediately takes a shine to Mavis and worries the guests. So, naturally, Drac has to sort things out.

It looks like it could be fun stuff, especially with Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky on directing duties. And perhaps, with writers other than the star himself (David L Stern, Dan Hagerman and Kevin Hagerman are credited), it won’t fall into the usual Sand(ler) traps that befell Just Go With It and Jack & Jill.

Hotel Transylvania is out on October 12.
