New Wrath Of The Titans Trailer Online
And some brand new stills too

24 February 2012  |  Written by James White

submit to reddit

The first trailer for myth-raiding sequel Wrath Of The Titans arrived back in December, but now a slightly longer destruct-o-fest has hit the magical interwebs. If you are righteous and brave, take a look below.

This time around, we find Perseus (Sam Worthington) 10 years on from his adventures opposite giant beasties in Clash. Trying to live a normal but probably slightly smelly life as a fisherman, he’s summoned back into action when mighty Titan Kronos begins to break his troops out of imprisonment and threatens Zeus (Liam Neeson) and co. But because the Gods can’t deal with these pesky problems themselves, and because Hades (Ralph Fiennes) is stirring up yet more trouble, guess who has to step in?

Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) is behind the camera and, if the trailers are any indication, he and Warners have simply taken everything about the first movie and cranked it up a notch, including Worthington’s hair. So: more CG monsters, more battles and lots of people shouting. Oh, and the added fun of seeing Rosamund Pike staring open mouthed at something that was probably a man with a ball on a pole when shooting, but now looks like Lord Of The Rings’ Balrog made himself a mansuit.

The Titans Will Wrath on March 30. We’re just hoping the 3D is better for this one...

What's the most striking thing about this latest promo?
The monsters! Monsters everywhere!
The Neeson! A most particular set of skills!
The mullet! Dear gods, the mullet!

Also out now is this rather spiffy collection of stills from the film, showcasing those monsters – and that mullet – in a little more detail.

RE: Brilliant!
All the talk of improving on the first sound exactly like Bay with Transformers 3. No doubt it will be another CGI shitfest with some appallingly camp performances. More

RE: New Wrath Of The Titans Trailer Online
I have no faith that this will turn out to be fun, but I definitely wouldn't object if it turned out to be watchable. I liked BATTLE LOS ANGELES despite myself, and so perhaps this might not be as bad as some fear. At the very least I'm glad to see some actual Titans turn up, though one has to wonder how Kronos came back from the dead. More

titans
what I really appreciate in this movie is that the titans got a much bigger size compared to the ones in Immortals. cause that was the thing I hated in Immortals, how small and puny the titans was, just boring. They should be their true size like in the God of War series. Then you're talking. If they some day will make a God of War movie, hopefully it will crush immortals, clash of the titans and wrath of the titans standard and really bring a good story to the cinema Kratos is the most power More

L: Dr Science the major problem with this film is that it is not a God Of War movie. I particularly enjoyed the way Kratos beat the crap out of Perseus in GOW2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdUlKZNEYDY forgotten all about that (played a long time ago). Mass beatdown! More

God of War much?
I HATED the first vapid piece of crap that was the first remake - it had neither spectacle nor soul. This at least looks like it might impress on a visual level and I think looks alright. Doesn't half look like they made a God of War movie though... More

Perseus With Actilift
The first movie wasn't a great remake, will be interesting to see what they do now they have to come up with a sequel on their own (they seem to have put all the other Ray Harryhausen monsters that weren't in Clash Of The TItan in this one). If this was a sequel to Clash Of The TItans from 1981, it probably would've been out around 1984 the same year Raiders Of The Lost Ark also from 1981 had a sequel. More
