Richard Schiff Added To Man Of Steel
He'll be Dr Hamilton

Richard Schiff Added To Man Of Steel

Zack Snyder and his crew have been shooting on Superman update Man Of Steel for several months now. So you might think they’d be long past the point of adding any more cast members. But that’s where you’d be wrong: Richard Schiff has jumped aboard the film.

Schiff, still probably best known for his role as top grouch Toby Ziegler on The West Wing, has signed on to play a Dr Hamilton. Depending on which storyline in the Superman comics you check out, he’s either a scientist who helps Supes (Henry Cavill) fight evil or a man who considers the hero to be something of a menace and finds ways to stop him.

So it remains to be seen which version of Hamilton Schiff will be embodying. It’s possible he could end up as both – a helpful type this time around and a future villain in any possible sequel.

Alongside Cavill and Schiff, Steel’s cast includes Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Harry Lennix, Christopher Meloni and Laurence Fishburne. The US release date is currently scheduled for June 14, 2013, so we still have to wait more than a year to see the finished product…

More than a year to see a different superman? No logical reason for such a long wait. More

I have absolutely no faith whatsoever in Zack Synder's directorial ability, but blimey this cast is shaping up well. More
