War Horse Premieres In London
Spielberg and co ride into town

09 January 2012  |  Written by Helen O'Hara

We're going to try to rein in the horse gags on this, but it was with mounting excitement that we greeted the London premiere of War Horse yesterday - a royal premiere, no less, what with Steven Spielberg being in attendence. Wait, no, we're being told that it was the presence of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge that made it a royal affair.

The Odeon Leicester Square played host to the world's most popular royals, thousands of fans and the stars of the film - everyone from Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Irvine and Emily Watson to, er, the equine star of the film. Judging by the screaming, everyone was horse hoarse by the time the film got started.

War Horse is out this Friday January 13 at cinemas up and down the country. For more on the film, come along and join us at 5pm today for a live webchat with star Tom Hiddleston.
