Amazing Spider-Man Teaser Poster Online
Andrew Garfield goes climbing...

10 December 2011  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Superhero Hype

With all the current hoopla about the likes of The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers, we’re certain Sony would like to remind everyone that there’s another superhero film wall-crawling its way into cinemas next year: The Amazing Spider-Man. And the team behind the film is aiming to keep it in our noggins with a new teaser poster, which you can check out below.

Promising (at least according to the new tagline on this promo) to tell “the untold story,” The Amazing Spider-Man flips the story of Peter Parker back to his origin, and swaps in Gwen Stacey as the love interest with The Lizard as the big bad.

And this time we get Andrew Garfield as Spidey, Emma Stone as Gwen and Rhys Ifans as Dr Curt Connors, the man who will tinker with genetics and become the mutant reptile creature who causes chaos.

With Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Martin Sheen and Sally Field also in the cast, The Amazing Spider-Man will be out on July 4, 2012.

RE: RE:
It hadn't occurred to me to wonder until the trailer hinted at their story. If it;s a good story and adds something, at least it WOULD be slightly different to the previous iteration, because it prsents a different Peter Parker, one with an apparently unknown to him tragedy in his past, as well as one with tragedy in his present propelling him to become the hero, and that is certainly a different starting point to Raimi's 'I'm a wuss in love with this chick' intro. RE: RE:
L: jobloffski Don't Parker's parents get referred to in the trailer? Not a reader of the comics, so don't know if they ever got featured, but as far as the films go, any detailed reference to why he's living with his aunt and uncle is 'untold' isn't it? eah but who cares about what happened to his parents? RE:
untold is taking it a bit far, but technically we've never seen Lizard on screen so they are within they're rights to make such a claim, as broad as it is. More
