Men In Black 3 Official Posters Arrive
Don't stare too hard...

29 November 2011  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Coming Soon

Given that most of the buzz thus far on Men In Black 3 has been fairly negative reports of script issues, production delays and Will Smith’s big trailer, Sony is no doubt ready to try and turn things around. And the first official marketing volley: teaser posters for the movie featuring stars Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are online via Coming Soon.

First revealed by the gang at Collider last week when they began cropping up in US cinemas, the posters are at least different from your usual floating head types (and a departure from the traditional shots of Smith and Jones holding big guns), though we do worry that they tend to send your eyes a bit funny if you stare at them for too long.

Also gearing up is what appears to be a viral marketing campaign for the film, with a URL on the posters leading to the Facebook page of a conspiracy nut who has hit pay dirt and discovered the existence of the MIB team. There’s not much to it yet, but expect it to expand soon.

Men In Black 3 finds Smith’s Agent J having to travel back in time to save a young K (Josh Brolin) and stop yet another world-threatening disaster. The film also features Alice Eve, Jemaine Clement, Emma Thompson, Bill Hader, Michael Stuhlbarg and Rip Torn. It’ll be out (in 3D) on May 25, 2012.

Really bad
Terrible design and in no way makes you want to see the film. They don't even look like who they're supposed to. More

RE: Trying Waaay Too Hard
Though you're joshing, you're probably right...engage 'patronising twat' mode... The period the time travel element of the film is going back to is the 60's, the time of: The fracturing of the idealised image of the authorities, the police and 'suits' Pop Art/stylised imagery Psychadelic/trippy art The images certainly could be said to combine all of the above, and if the people behind the images didn't consider these things, they're a very lucky coincidence. Also, w More

Trying Waaay Too Hard
If they really wanted to make an impact on the streets, they should have just shown Will Smith & Tommy Lee Jones standing with their arms around the three-titted alien from Paul with spliffs hanging out of their mouths. That I would go and see... More

RE: Crap...
Glance at the posters from a distance, they do look like the actors, particularly the Tommy Lee Jones one (which probably, in terms of the very basics of his facial expression is going to chime with Brolin's take on the younger version of the character). Closer to the poster, the faces disappear and you see MIB3 over and over again. Not a great deal wrong with the concept or execution. Get the impression that since the MIB don't officially exist, and operate in the periphery of socie More

Crap...
Will Smith's been quiet for years now and only comes back in a sequel that noone wants to see?! This looks awful. He seriously needs to buck up and get serious when picking his projects. Oh, and he should also stop trying to ram his kids down our throats...we're interested in HIM as an actor, not his kids...rant over. and out. More

Yuck, those are PlayStation One-level likenesses. If it wasn't for Jemaine Clement, I wouldn't even entertain going to see this. Bet he vanishes without explanation at some point, Johnny Knoxville style. More
