New Game Of Shadows Trailer Online

The game is once more afoot as the latest trailer for Sherlock Holmes sequel A Game Of Shadows has arrived for your staring pleasure. You can check it out over at Apple.

There’s an awful lot of footage recycling going on here, though this new promo does at least show some extended moments from the scenes that we’ve already glimpsed in trailers, teasers and clips. So… lots of train action; plenty of Holmes (Robert Downey Jr), Watson (Jude) and mysterious gypsy girl Sim (Noomi Rapace) racing through a forest as shells and shot explode around them; loads of buildings exploding and Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris) being smart and menacing. And if you’re a fan of director Guy Ritchie’s love of over/under cranked camera work, then you’ll be happy.

A Game Of Shadows finds Holmes reuniting with his trusty sidekick after a brief absence, and the legendary detective obsessed with tracking down Moriarty and discovering his evil scheme which, as the trailer is at pains to point out, endangers all of Western civilization. You know… The usual.

We’ll finally get to see the whole thing when the sequel arrives in cinemas on December 16.
