Three Stooges Teaser Poster Arrives
Ho ho Moe?

16 October 2011  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Facebook

After struggling for years to round up the financing and a cast for The Three Stooges, we’d imagine that Peter and Bobby Farrelly are feeling pretty pleased with themselves right about now. They’re currently in post-production on the film and now the Stooges are loose on the ‘net (albeit in silhouette) as the first teaser poster has debuted. Throw your eyeballs over it below.

While we’re really not sure about that lazy tagline, it’s at least a sign that the thing is finally on its way. But what’s with the weirdly cropped studio logo? Is Fox trying to tell us something? Or is it simply the marketing team getting into Stooge comedy mode?

Either way, the film – which is inspired by the comedians’ shorts and features three 30-minute sections – stars Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos and Will Sasso as Larry, Moe and Curly. The plot follows them from their days as children in an orphanage, getting caught up in a murder plot and (smell the topicality!) appearing on a reality show.

With a cast that also includes Larry David, Jane Lynch, Stephen Collins and Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, The Three Stooges is scheduled to hit the US on April 4 next year. There’s no word on whether that’ll mean a day-and-date release over here, but we figure it’ll be close…

Just say no.
And they really think they just can remake the stooges? I doubt it. More

Just say Meh!
The funniest thing about the Stooges was Mel Gibson's impersonations of them in the Lethal Weapon movies. They better have one hell of a back story. More
