New War Horse Trailer Online
A fresh look at Spielberg's World War I

You wait ages for a Steven Spielberg film, and then two come along practically at once. As we await the debut of The Adventures Of Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn, here's another look at Spielberg's other upcoming treat, War Horse. Go ahead and try to stop yourself shouting "Run, horsey, run!" at the screen as this plays.

Adapted from the Michael Morpurgo book, itself also a hit stage play for the National Theatre, this tells the story of Joey, a horse bought for use in World War I combat, and his owner Alfred (Jeremy Irvine), who goes to considerable lengths to reclaim his equine friend.

The film also stars Peter Mullan, Emily Watson, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch, David Thewlis, Toby Kebbell, Eddie Marsan, David Kross and Niels Arestrup.

War Horse is out in the UK on January 13, 2012, and in the US on Christmas Day. Well, it beats a football match in No Man's Land as Yuletide celebrations go...

Be Brave! Be Brave! Be Brave! to watch the AWFUL trailer
I'm sure the show and maybe the film is great but seriously overly emotional and bland trailer. Hurlsome! More

L: paulwfranklin t's just a shit trailer, cos I have no idea why that boy loves that horse...] You have to know horses to understand, but the same basic principle can be applied to any pet. You never seen The Incredible Journey?? More

RE: New War Horse Trailer Online
Yeah alright, there was some tongue in cheek there. Although I hear he didn't quite write Blackadder that way, they slowed it down in the edit and found it worked better. I absolutely adore Blackadder, but he still wrote that awful line in 4 Weddings... Oh come on, what, are you trying to impress girls on here or something? I cried at E.T., I shed a tear at Babe. Maybe it's just a shit trailer, cos I have no idea why that boy loves that horse... Looking forward to Tintin though. More

L: paulwfranklin Looks bloody awful! Lots of shots of a horse galloping to dramatic music... The stage play is meant to be fantastic, though I've not seen it. What puts me off this film - and what the article failed to mention - is that the adapted screenplay was done by Richard Curtis. Yes, the man who created the line 'Is it still raining? I hadn't noticed.' lso the man that made a WWI Blackadder finale more moving than anyone ever expected it to be with a single line. More

you know what I think?
I haven't read the book and I haven't read the play but I was an extra on this movie. Someone made a comment about the all the soldiers in awe of a horse running through no mans land being a stupid idea... I was in that scene and thought it was a shit idea... in fact I made a bet with another extra that this is gonna be a shit film... it'll look impressive but it's gonna be shit. Sorry. More

Judging by comments being made some people really need to pick up the book before they start ripping into the plot and who it is aimed at. Its less than 200 pages so it won't take you lot long! More

One of the greatest war films ever made? sp; Yeah, except this doesn't look like Saving Private Ryan, does it? This looks like a sugary tale of a boy and his horse, while WW1 happens in the background. I doubt we'll see anything like the intensity of SPR in this. More
