Dominic Cooper Heading To Motor City?
In talks for Albert Hughes' thriller

29 September 2011  |  Written by Owen Williams  |  Source: Variety

Dominic Cooper Heading To Motor City?

Last we heard, Chris Evans was in the frame, but now Variety are reporting that friend of Empire and Pint of Milk expert Dominic Cooper is in talks to join Albert Hughes' action thriller Motor City.

Clearly turning heads in Hollywood this year with Captain America and his acclaimed and impressive dual-role in The Devil's Double, the dapper Cooper would need to dress down for a movie that would cast him as a recently-released convict on a mission for revenge on the bastard that framed him. And if that sounds formulaic, the twist is that, at this stage, Chad St John's hot Black List screenplay is entirely free of dialogue...

Hughes' last film was the biblically ass-kicking Book of Eli, and Motor City is where he's ended up following the Akira debacle. Warners are apparently keen to get it moving quickly, with action veteran Joel Silver producing through his Silver Pictures banner.
