New Killer Elite Trailer Arrives
May the best man live

New Killer Elite Trailer Arrives

We’ve already had one fist-fuelled trailer for The Killer Elite and, if anything, this latest promo just confirms the idea that it essentially wants to be an ‘80s action movie when it grows up. You can watch the new footage over at the IMDB.

Well, we say “new” footage, but in reality a chunk has been recycled from that previous effort. And what hasn’t changed is the plot – Jason Statham is Danny Bryce, a former SAS operative and largely considered one of the toughest nuts around.

But when he and mentor Hunter (Robert De Niro) annoy the wrong people, Hunter is snatched and the villainous, stupidly-'tached Spike (Clive Owen) starts making threatening phone calls, growling about what will happen to the man who is “like a father” to Danny. So what does The Stath do? Why, he does what he does best – kicks mucho arse, fires guns and crashes cars.

Killer Elite is unabashedly OTT and features lots of actors snarling dialogue that Arnie and co would’ve been proud to spout back in the day. Oh, and there’s also the likes of Yvonne Strahovski, Dominic Purcell and former Lost man Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje in the cast.

Take a gander at the trailer if you want to be rocked like a hurricane. The movie is out on September 23.

Feather Men
This is apparently based on the book, The Feather Men about, as far as I can remember is about a group of ex-sas types who start getting bumped of in revenge for something that happened on Oman in the 70's. Tne Feather men are another group of SAS types who vow to protect their colleages and hunt down the hunters. This trailer is confusing the balls out of me. Statham seems to be the hunter initially who becomes the hunded? Does'nt that makle him the terrorist killing the SAS types with Clive O More

Trailer looks good actually. If they don't take themselves too seriously I can imagine De Niro and Owen having a lot of fun with this alongside the Stath... More

RE: Killer Elite
Agreed. OTT is king. Just as long as the script is better than the polished turd that is Blitz. More
