Official Avengers Teaser Hits The Web
Warning: here be spoilers (and Avengers)

29 July 2011  |  Written by Ali Plumb

submit to reddit

Given that our Captain America review mentioned (SPOILER!) that Cap gets frozen at the end, may we casually inform you that the following news story contains spoilers.

The reason why we sound the spoiler horn is because a snippet of the very brief post-feature Avengers teaser at the end of Captain America, showing all of the team at Avengers HQ looking badass, has been released online... but it also includes the very, very end of Captain America: The First Avenger, where Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury meets the defrosted Cap in the middle of Times Square.

So to see both bits the very end of Cap and The Avengers teaser click play below, but remember: you have been warned, ye who have not seen Captain America: The First Avenger yet.

Also, as it has moments showing all The Avengers, we've grabbed the pictures from the trailer and turned them into a miniature galllery for you below, featuring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans (in a new Cap outfit), Mark Ruffalo (in non-Hulk form), Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth. You know, because we're nice like that.

The Avengers will be avenging something or other come May 14, 2012.

Not feeling the new Cap costume...
...but I'm not as upset by sleeveless Thor as I expected to be after hearing others' comments. Looks more Classic (good) than Ultimate (wank). More

Meh
I still don't get it. I'd like to be excited about it but it just looks like a glorified cartoon and I don't mean that in a good way. I just don't see it working. More

WAH! I deliberately hadn't read the Cap review because I had been warned there were spoilers, but got so over excited by the main heading, I didn't read the spoiler warning and ploughed straight in. More

Thanks (NO SPOILERS in my comment!)
Thanks for doing the screen captures because it really is blink and you'll miss the whole thing. Looks like Thor's been taking some hair-growth hormones, cause he's suddenly got a luxurious mane covering his shoulders. And I don't know why I hadn't thought of this before, but just seeing Tony Stark constantly taking the mickey out of Thor has already made buying a ticket worthwile. More

Fair enough
Cool. I'm not so sure on some of the new outfits but we've got a year to get used to them. I'm looking forward to the next update. More
