CC: Guillermo Del Toro Talks Hellboy 3
CC: Guillermo Del Toro Talks Hellboy 3
Exclusive: Video with the director

22 July 2011  |  Written by Chris Hewitt

As you might know, the San Diego Comic-Con is currently full steam ahead. We managed to catch up with the great Guillermo del Toro yesterday, and asked him for an update on Hellboy 3, now that his dance card isn't filled with The Hobbit. His great mate, and Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman, was also in the room, which explains why it was on our mind.

Press play on the video below to hear what Guillermo had to say about the trilogy-capper for the big red dude.

If they are confident for a third film thats cool. ut I can watch Hellboy 2 and really enjoy it without feeling a massive need for a sequel. More

RE: Just.....
Hey if Vaughn could find a way to independently finance Kick-Ass I don't see why Del Toro couldn't do the same with HellBoy especially as this already has a proven track record. More

L: darth silas Didnt they just report on this site a while back that Hellboy 3 wasnt going to happen? Now GDT is considering it again? Jeez, make up your mind man! f you watch the report, both Del Toro and Perlman thought the other didn't want to do it again. But as GDT admits, financing the thing is almost impossible these days anyway. More

RE: Just.....
For all the effort that went into the creatures of HB2, the failing of it was that it's plot was hopelessly generic, even within its genre. HB got away with relying on the character of HB and seemed to promise bigger and better if a sequel came along. HB2 upped the stakes on the creature content, but was very boring to me by the time I was waiting for the 'if x is not prevented, y will rise' to fall into place I may as well have been watching the mummy 25. If you DO IT!!! GDT, please More
