Sherlock Holmes Sequel Posters Arrive

That wheezing, steam-belching mechanical sound you hear is the publicity machine slowly gearing up to start promoting Warner Bros.’ Sherlock Holmes sequel, A Game of Shadows. The first items to roll off the production line? Two teaser posters featuring the movie’s primary cast.

They aren’t exactly the most thrilling posters ever committed to paper, since they really only feature Holmes (Robert Downey Jr), Watson (Jude Law), the mysterious Sim (Noomi Rapace) and the scheming Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris). And that’s pretty much it, aside from some scenery.

But then, what do you really expect from teaser posters? And Warners knows that the major selling point for the film (at least until a trailer arrives) is its stars.

As for the plot, not much is known at this point other than the fact that our heroes will be squaring off against Moriarty, the detective’s most formidable opponent.

With Guy Ritchie back on directorial duty, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows will arrive on these shores on December 16.

yeh if i watch this I would inevitably be comparing how it is no match to BBCs Sherlock, but it still could be fun. More

What's the point of this
when the BBC's Sherlock has well and truly kicked the arse of any other 'reboots' of Holmes? More
