Alexandra Daddario vs Leatherface
Percy Jackson actress for Chainsaw 3D

07 July 2011  |  Written by Owen Williams  |  Source: Variety

Alexandra Daddario vs Leatherface

She was Athena's daughter Annabeth in Percy Jackson, but Alexandria Daddario will have a rather different sort of family to deal with when she arrives on the set of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.

Following recent Chainsaw franchise leads Jessica Biel and Jordana Brewster, Daddario is looking likely to take the scream-queen-y Final Girl role in the next instalment. If we're to believe the reports of the film's synopsis, that means she'll be playing Heather, who comes into an inheritance from a hitherto unknown branch of her family, but discovers the bequest requires her to act as cousin Leatherface's legal guardian. Doncha just hate small print?

The only other cast we know about so far is Chainsaw veteran Bill Moseley, but further parts will no doubt be filled (and hacked off and strewn around) in the near future. Kirsten Elms took the most recent stab at the screenplay; Marc Burg is producing; Mark Luessenhop (Takers) is directing; and shooting starts shortly for a release next year.

RE: Keep em' coming!
That's the story?! Ha!  I'd love it if they played it as, she moves Leatherface to the city, where he tries his hardest to fit in, before the cruel taunts of the locals, an unfeeling city and a sad mis-understanding force him to go on a chainsaw killing spree.   Basically, Edward Chainsaw-Hands. Keep em' coming!
Yee yee, they may be lame these new Texas Chainsaw movies. But at least they deliver some nice gore scenes and are fun to watch. Nice to turn of your brain some times you know. More
