Ben Foster Aboard Prometheus?
And the official synopsis drops...

01 July 2011  |  Written by James White  |  Source: JoBlo

Ben Foster Aboard Prometheus?

It’s been one of those days on the web where it looked for a while as though a big secret – the plot to Ridley Scott’s not-quite-Alien-but-linked prequel Prometheus – had finally leaked out from under its veil of secrecy. The rumoured plot has been quickly denied by 20th Century Fox, which put out an official, limited synopsis. And there’s one other piece of info to report, with JoBlo hearing that Ben Foster is aboard the movie.

While they claim it’s “confirmed,” there’s been no official announcement yet, so we’re going to consider it a strong rumour until he’s announced.

But if true, it just means that Scott has added another solid thesp to a line-up that includes Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Logan Marshall-Green, Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba.

And as for that official synopsis? Here you go: "Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery."

For anyone still wanting to see the “leaked” plotline (there’s still a chance the studio’s denial could mean the description is closer than they’re willing to admit), you can check it out over at The Playlist. Just beware of spoilers for anything that turns out to be accurate…
