| Here's a treat for a Thursday afternoon: a new Captain America: The First Avenger poster is here, and it's a doozy. Showing Chris Evan's Cap alongside friends and allies rather than all on his lonesome for the first time, this even gives us a bit of a peek at bad guy Red Skull to boot. The film, for those who haven't been paying attention, sees Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, a weedy guy who isn't permitted to do as much for his country as he hopes in World War II because he's just too puny. Enter a Super Soldier Serum which makes him all buff and stuff - but which also makes him a target for Nazi scum, especially Hugo Weaving's Red Skull.
Also starring Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark (father of Tony), Tommy Lee Jones as the Colonel overseeing the project, Stanley Tucci as the science genius behind it and Hayley Atwell as the British friend Steve makes, this is shaping up rather well if the latest trailer is anything to go by. Captain America: The First Avenger is out here on July 29, directed by Joe Johnston. |
