Exclusive: ¡Three Amigos! Reunite
Short, Martin, Chase, in hats, on camera

28 April 2011  |  Written by Nick de Semlyen

In 1986, classic comedy western ¡Three Amigos! was released, starring three living legends, Chevy Chase, Steve Martin and Martin Short and directed by none other than John Landis.

One month ago, 25 years later, all four of them came together for a very special Empire reunion in Los Angeles, putting their sombreros back on once more and doing their level best to reenact that salute.

In this month's magazine – out now, by the way – we've got eight pages celebrating the event, including an extensive and hilarious interview with all four, alongside stunning photographs of the gang mucking about.

To whet your appetite, we've got a few select images to show you here today, as well as a teaser video clip of the day in question. For the longer behind the scenes video, download the iPad edition.

Empire's June edition is out now.

iPad?
Exactly what kick-backs are you getting from Apple to promote the sale of their tawdry wares? Sort your act out or you'll lose valuable readers who don't want their lives encumbered by unnecessary technology. More

Thank you!
Brilliant, thank you Empire! Normally the first thing I do when I get my new copy of Empire is head straight to the reviews to check out what's worth seeing. This month I went straight to the Three Amigo's article! One of my favourite films from the 80's! More

APPLE!
I am looking at this on a mac book pro, hence l don't need to spend hundreds of pounds on an ipad as well. Apple have had my hard earned cash. Seems unfair that l am having my arm twisted to buy a device that l really don't need. :( More
