Cannes 2011 Line-Up Announced

The official selection for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival has been announced, and it looks like a strong line-up for the world's most famous film festival.

Stand out names include the opener, Woody Allen's Midnight In Paris, Lynne Ramsay's We Need to Talk About Kevin, Gus Van Sant's Restless, and Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life.

In the ever-so-slightly less worthy camp -- sorry guys -- there's also Rob Marshall's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides to look forward to, as well as Jodie Foster's The Beaver, which is bound get people talking.

As with almost all things Cannes, may we point you in the direction of the ultimate authority in all things film festivals-related, Damon "Damo" Wise, whose first blog you can check out here, you lucky things.
