Two New Attack The Block Clips Land
'This is the worst night of my life!'

01 April 2011  |  Written by Ali Plumb

Joe Cornish's feature length debut, Attack The Block, has been getting such good buzz it's almost unbelievable. So to get you guys even more excited, here are two brand new clips for you. You know, because we're nice like that.

For those not in the know, Attack The Block sees a group of kids from south London stumble upon an alien that's crashed landed, meteor-style, into their block. They promptly kill it (see clip one) and drag its carcass around town to show everyone.

Then, of course, other aliens start arriving and things start getting a little bit scary. Retreating to the block (see clip two) they are chased and attacked by these other aliens, with only baseball bats, knives, bangers and the odd samurai sword to defend themselves.

You might expect Attack The Block to be a comedy of sorts, what with it being from Joe of Adam And Joe fame, but in reality it's more of a drama / horror / inner city something or whatever, as these clips prove. It's its own beast basically. In a good way.

So here the clips are, kicking off with 'First Kill'

... followed by 'Peep Hole'.

So what do you reckon? Here's a link to the trailer, if you haven't watched it already, which also has a few stills for you to take a better look at too. Yes / no / maybe? Let us know in the comment box below.

Attack The Block will attack your multiplex (in a way...) come May 11.
