New Pirates 4 Trailer Explodes Online
Swordfights! Mermaids! Flamethrowers!

Those no good ne’er-do-wells over at Pirates 4 HQ have been teasing us over the past few weeks with poster after poster, and now they’ve finally given us a proper, genuine, 100% real trailer to feast our eyes on – and it’s pretty darn exciting.

Succinctly setting up the main thrust of the plot, it begins by highlighting just what Jack and co. are up to – hunting for the Fountain of Youth. Then everything kind of explodes.

You see, Blackbeard (Ian McShane) also wants in on the Fountain of Youth action, and as he’s got a possessed ship, zombies, and giant twin flamethrowers (no, we didn’t see that coming either) there’s a chance it might not be a walk in the park for old Jacky Boy.

We’ll leave the trailer to do its job now and stop telling you what’s in it, but rest assured that they’ve really upped the ante when it comes to the action scenes. And the mermaid scenes. The evil mermaid scenes, it looks like…

Impressed? Not bothered? Still think the Pirates series should have stayed at the bottom of the ocean? Purposefully growing a Jack Sparrow-like beard in preparation for the premiere? Let us know in the comment box below.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is in cinemas from May 18.

L: supermaddy In love with the first film, defend the sequels on the basis that they kept the funny and the adventure, and were never going to match up to the first one being as original and whacked out as it was... BUT this looks sucky. I mean bad. Not a single laugh in the trailer, except for Blackbeard saying he's a bad man and it's Ian McShane so WE KNEW THAT ALREADY because he's always the bad man and there was no funny... why was there no funny? Where did the sharp tongue and More
