He's going to avenge...

You’d think that, given that he was granted superpowers and was able to defend his country from the Nazi hordes, Steve Rogers would look a bit happier than he does in the first poster for Captain America: The First Avenger. But then, there is a war on…

Yes, the first poster for the film is online, featuring Chris Evans as the titular hero looking serious and brooding as he holds his shield. All around him, debris/soot/ash/dirt flies. Either that or the local rain is really dirty.

We’re promised a darker, yet still adventurous take on the Marvel superhero, who takes part in a secret US army experiment aimed at creating a super soldier. The results speak for themselves…

Nope. Sorry!
Unless I see a really kick ass trailer, so far I have absolutely NO desire to see this movie. Batman is supposed to be dark. Captain America and Superman are supposed to be boy scouts. Nothing wrong with that. And now I hear that they want to darken Wonder Woman too? Good grief... More

I always thought that DC comics were the interesting ones as a kid, y'know, The Joker over Dr Doom anyday (though Doom can be fun)...Suddenly, though, Marvel seems to have come into its own. Iron Man, Capt. America, Thor...No, 'The Hulk' style blunders here! After all these years of Superhero films, why are these characters being pulled from the toy box now? On the DC side they've FINALLY got going (more Bats, Green Lantern, Superman, Wonder Woman tv s More

Just not sure!
I have recently decided to try and give superhero movies a bit of slack and hopefully I can enjoy one or two of them, but this poster just does nothing for me at all. Is dark the way to go? It worked for Batman but I am just not sure! More
