Limitless Trailer Arrives
Bradley Cooper finds the wonder drug

17 December 2010  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Apple

What would you do if you discovered a wonder drug that can stimulate the hidden recess of your brain and unlock all that untapped potential? If you’re anything like Bradley Cooper’s wannabe writer Eddie Morra in Limitless, you’ll scarf that bad boy down like it’s candy and start enjoying the rewards. You can watch what happens in the movie’s trailer, which is now online over at Apple.

Morra is one of those dishevelled creative types in movies who lives in a dingy, trash-strewn apartment while trying to convince himself and those around him that he’s writing the Best Novel Ever. Unfortunately for our stringy-haired hero, he’s barely tapped out a word.

But then an old buddy (Johnny Whitworth) recommends a new, seemingly legit marvel pill that can crack open his mind’s spongy stuff and scoop out some of that electric goodness.

Eddie goes for it and is soon rich, popular, smart and much better dressed. Which leads him to be targeted by Robert De Niro’s Carl Van Loon (whose surname should surely be the biggest giveaway of wrongitiude since he played Louis Cyphre in Angel Heart). While it seems like Van Loon is Eddie’s guardian angel, suspicious things start to happen. Oh, and the side effects for the drug kick in as well, leading to problems the likes of which would even make the person who has to read them for the advert cry.

Formerly titled Dark Fields, Limitless is from The Illusionist’s Neil Burger and looks like it could be a fun, conspiracy-laden thriller ride.

Check out the trailer over at Apple and see if you feel smarter afterwards. If not, consult your doctor. Oh, and the movie will arrive on March 18.
