Smashing New Skyline Clip Online
Size does matter

28 October 2010  |  Written by Owen Williams  |  Source: Moviefone

Note the intentional use of a 1998 Godzilla reference. There's a new clip from The Brothers Strause's Skyline online, and, if nothing else, it's a creature feature.

We've actually seen the money-shot here before, in the second trailer that went up a while ago. But Moviefone's exclusive 43 seconds expands the scene, giving it some space so the punchline (sudden giant alien foot through car) pays off a little better. And look! It's Turk from Scrubs!

Skyline is about LA waking up one morning to find gnarly alien ships hovering above it; a blue light infecting and abducting its inhabitants; and, apparently, big monsters on the rampage. Shades of Cloverfield and ID4 and any number of other films, obviously, but Skyline is looking like a beautiful sci-fi spectacle that might at least go some way to atoning for the Brothers' previous AvP: Requiem

It's out in the UK on November 12.
