Rango Trailer Online
Fear, loathing and guitar-playing owls

29 June 2010  |  Written by Phil de Semlyen

Lizard lovers rejoice for today is Rango-a-go-go. First, came the teaser poster showing the Hawaiian-shirted reptile striking a perplexed pose. Now follows the full-length trailer demonstrating why he's looking quite so confounded. Everything in the world wants to kill him.

Reuniting the Pirates Of The Caribbean pairing of Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski, and boasting ILM technology and the heavy-hitting screenwriting talents of John Logan (Gladiator), Rango is a chameleon with serious pedigree - even if,
looking at his desert survival techniques, not too much clue.

Alongside Depp is a strong-looking voicecast that boasts Abigail Breslin, Bill Nighy, Stephen Root, Ray Winstone, Harry Dean Stanton and Alfred Molina.

As the website's blurb tells us, Rango is "the story of a chameleon with an identity crisis". Judging by the slightly surreal but highly entertaining trailer, his quest for a new one will be worth following.

Already in Love with Rango
Well, this looks ridiculously good. Seems to be a unique animation from what I can see so far. I always wanted a Monsters Inc. Randal spin-off - I believe Rango will satisfy this! Love... the talking/singing owls Love... the main character Love... all of the other characters Love... the setting and cinematography Love... everything about it. Already. More

Monsters Inc 2?
First thing I thought when I clicked on this was "spin-off of Monsters Inc.? Is that Randall?"... but no... it's an odd looking story about a lizard in a desert. More
