Dodgy science leads to horror…

The new trailer for Vincenzo Natali’s long awaited horror thriller Splice has arrived online over at MySpace.

Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley star as a pair of young scientists who, intent on pushing the boundaries of DNA science, create a creature based on a mixture of human an animal genetic material.

After a couple of hiccups, they celebrate the successful birth of Dren, who grows quickly and might just be the next evolutionary step for mankind.

But of course, there’s something not quite right about her – and soon she’s loose to threaten humanity.

Sadly, there’s no release date set for the film over here just yet, and it has only played at a couple of festivals. But lucky cinemagoers in America will be able to see it on June 4.
