Emma Stone Could Join The Help
DreamWorks wants her for the drama

23 March 2010  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Variety

Zombieland’s Emma Stone is very much a woman in demand these days. Not only is she in line to join Steve Carell’s next comedy, but now DreamWorks is after her for one of the leads in historical drama The Help.

Adapted from Kathryn Stockett’s best-selling book, and set in early 1960s Mississippi, The Help focuses on a young aspiring writer (Stone, if she signs) interviewing a maid, who speaks openly about her experiences.

Her comments have major repercussions across the South, and alter the seemingly set-in-stone code of behaviour between the maids and their employers.

The studio has picked up a script based on the book written by Stockett’s childhood pal, Tate Taylor, who will also direct. Looks like the novelist got some major creative control out of the deal…

Personally I think you should start using a different picture for the Emma Stone articles. She looks like a Gray alien in disguise in that one More
