Chris Gorak Faces The Darkest Hour
A new alien invasion thriller

In what seems like it might be a refreshing change from the age-old “aliens invade America” trope, New Regency and Summit Entertainment are developing Darkest Hour, a new thriller that sees the interplanetary nasties having a go at Russia instead.

Sure, some movies feature looks at international crises when ET comes calling with weaponry, but thanks to Timur Bekmambetov producing, we’ll get to see what happens to a group of kids as they struggle to survive an attack in Russia.

Right At Your Door director Chris Gorak, a man with some experience shooting nervy thrillers featuring everyday folk in dangerous situations, has signed on to direct, and he’ll work in Russia this June at Bekmambetov’s custom film facility.

RE: About time!
Strictly speaking District 9 is NOT an alien invasion move....................They ended up there because they had some catastrophe, stranding them in South Africa. So until Aliens discover the Old World, we'll have to be content with them blowing the hell out of the USofA i'm afraid More
