Affleck! Damon! Together Again!
Duo setting up shop at Warner Bros.

Dear Lord, has it really been thirteen years since Matt Damon and Ben Affleck burst onto the scene with their self-penned, self-starring, Oscar-bothering indie drama Good Will Hunting? Has it really been twelve years since they bounced around on stage at the Oscars like two Liverpool fans who’d finally discovered how to spell Unirea Urziceni, having just won Best Original Screenplay? Has it really been over a decade since they worked together on a feature film (and no, the Project Greenlight stuff doesn’t count)?

Yes, it has. But that’s all moot now, for Affleck & Damon are back back back. Or maybe it’s Damon & Affleck. Either way, the duo is in talks with Warner Bros. to enter into a first-look producing deal with the studio.

At present, no further details are forthcoming, but The Hollywood Reporter says an official announcement should arrive once the deal is sealed. That should be in a few days.

Of course, whether this means that Damon/Affleck will resume their writing partnership is unknown. But we hope so – the duo have been talking about a second script for ages now, and maybe this deal will give them the impetus they need.

Either way, though, they’re two of the most intelligent guys around, so we expect exciting things from this deal. In fact, we expect movies so thrilling that they’ll make us dance around like Liverpool fans who’ve just discovered how to pronounce Unirea Urziceni.

wow.
It sounds like Matt Damon is feeling sorry for his friend (and his friend's quickly downsized career) so he's letting Ben tag-along into a production deal...Tsk-tsk, Matt. We all know that you wrote 'Good Will' while Ben played video games and ate Cheetos...Shame on you, Ben for undoubtedly calling up your old chum and asking, "What about me, Matty?! I like Hollywood stuff." More

To see them writing again would be great. Hopefully we'll have some new ideas coming out of hollywood rather than just reboots/remakes and comic book adaptions More
