Bruce Vs. Frankenstein?
Campbell plans My Name Is Bruce sequel

Bruce Campbell played a wimpy version of himself, confronted with an outbreak of demon, in My Name Is Bruce - and now he's planning a sequel called Bruce Vs. Frankenstein*. Yes, the Chin will face off against horror's biggest forehead in a battle of the facial features.

While we can't help wishing this was the long awaited Bubba Nosferatu instead (by the time they get around to that, he won't need aging make-up anymore), this does sound like fun. Campbell told Ain't It Cool that shooting starts in Oregon this autumn, but apart from that details are still under wraps. We presume that Campbell will once again direct, but even that hasn't been confirmed.

So whadya think? Good idea? Bad idea? Did you even see My Name Is Bruce?

*We'll have to wait and see if this title is accurate or if he's actually squaring off against Victor Frankenstein's unnamed monster.

My name is Bruce wasn't one of his best, but he was great in it and frankly that's why I watch em. Hopefully, if he's directing, he'll have honed his directing skills to produce something better. Frankenstein's monster sounds way better than the demons they used last time anyway. More

Brilliant!
Anytime that we get to see Bruce front and center in a movie is a good time. MNIB was hilarious and provided the best role that he has had in years. There are many monsters out there for Bruce to fight and I hope the DVDs sell well enough that we get to see them all. More

Didn't enjoy My name is Bruce but i'll never learn my lesson, i'll get this on DVD too. The writing for the first was awful, even by B movie standards. The lighting was terrible too, i didn't see half the flick. More

I've seen lots of Bruce Campbell emphemera including a book but I've been to skint to keep up with his career. Must of been all those Benson and Hedges I bought as a child. More

Sweet!
I'm a big Campbell fan, the kind that My Name is Bruce both targeted and was made for. Plans for a sequel were in the pipelines while he was touring with the first one, although the title was "My Name is Still Bruce." I loved the movie and can't wait for this one. Hopefully he goes touring and comes back across the pond for a screening with the new flick because the first time was awesome. And MOnkeyboy1138 is indeed correct. As much of a good idea as My Name Is Bruce was, I thought it was absolutely awful. I think I laughed once all the way through. Unless they manage to get someone to write a decent script then they REALLY shouldn't bother More

Well, I thought My Name is Bruce was a tad on the weak side, but at the same time wasn't that the point? But would love to see another one. Bubba Nosferatu however will not continue with Brucey as he walked off of the project some time ago and is going to be replaced with Hellboy himself Ron pearlman. More

I like Bruce but...
I'm a fan of Bruce and his character in Burn Notice is fantastic. Unfortunately, I fould My Name is Bruce to be poorly scripted, acted and directed - even for a B Movie. I'd go see Bubba Nosferatu - but this I plan to avoid. Sorry. More
